The League City Home Theater, Home Automation, and Audio Video Industry is what Capitol Audio Video lives, breathes and truly loves! Transforming a house into a home involves more than just decoration. The sight, sound and control that is modern home technology is a new standard that helps create this transformation, and homeowners are adopting it today more than ever for many reasons. The ability to adopt home theater, media systems and home automation technology in League City, Kemah, Bacliff, Pasadena, Deer Park, Webster, Dickinson and other areas in Texas and throughout the world has become increasingly less expensive, and new homes are now often times built standard with wiring for Audio and Video, Smart Home Technology and more.

If you recently purchased a new home, you probably have blank white outlet plates in your ceiling, on the walls, or elsewhere. This means your home is wired for Surround Sound, In Wall or In Ceiling Speakers, Access Control, Volume Controls and potentially Whole Home Automation. Many people have they’re whole home wired for speakers and don’t even know it! Speakers on they’re patio, in the kitchen, office, living room, and of course the media room. When Capitol Audio Video comes in for a design consultation, whether your home has existing wiring within your walls or not, we are concerned about what your goals are for your system. The truth is if you have an existing older home, we can what we call “retro-fit” wiring for whatever systems you need in your home, 95% of the time. You may have existing wiring for home automation systems, but you may not be ready for or have the budget for purchasing, installing, monitoring and controlling automated shades, lighting control, security systems, HVAC, sprinklers/irrigation and more.

You should know, however, that you can now control home automation systems wirelessly via your home network. This is a new and exciting step for our industry to say the least because this can save our clients from extensive labor costs (because we do not have to run as many wires). However, many clients start with, and only purchase home audio video systems, and we understand that not everyone is interested in additional technology, for a number of reasons.

In League City, however, due to the tech nature of many people, we often find ourselves in the design, sales, and installation of all types of custom home theatre rooms, home stereo, home automation control, media servers, and whole home audio distribution. Many of our clients want top quality projectors to go in they’re media rooms with designer speakers made by some of the top companies, but others are looking for a surround sound system on a much smaller budget, and we accommodate accordingly. A common need is multiple Flat Screen TV’s installed throughout the home. The most popular places for TV Installation are above the fireplace in they’re living area, and outdoor on they’re patio in combination with a pair of high powered outdoor speakers for entertaining guests. A very popular feature that most people adopt (when installing they’re TV’s) is storing they’re components, cable boxes, dvd players and more in a nearby closet while still having control without pointing the remote directly at the home electronic components. This is what is known as an Infrared Technology.

We sell and install Infrared Repeaters constantly because homeowners want a clean look to match the elegant interior of they’re home. What they do not want is a mess of wires or electronic devices stacked up in they’re living space. How the process works is by “running” one low voltage wire from your component storage area (typically a nearby closet or cabinet) to the back of your flat screen television and installing a tiny circular device (about the size of a dime) called a “fish eye” onto your TV or somewhere nearby. The fish eye is hard to find by the naked eye, and is easily the best aesthetic solution on the marketplace for hiding your components. We like to combine that device with a Universal Remote to simplify our clients’ systems and make things much easier to operate. Yes, this means your new Universal Remote will control everything, so you can store away all of those other remotes once and for all! Once the wiring and fish eye are in place, and everything is connected we quickly program the system to accept the Infrared signal, and that is that.

There is so much more available for your home theater and home entertainment and control systems in League City Texas that will blow you away! Feel free to communicate your audio and video goals and dreams when you make your first phone call to us. We will tell you if it is possible, and I guarantee you that it will excite us to talk about designing yet another home theater system!
